The Central Govt. with an intent to effectively secure and enforce the right to information in the country and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto, has enacted, “The Right to Information Act, 2005” which has come into effect from 12th October 2005. in the interest of effective implementation of the provisions of the said Act the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, CIDCO and Competent Authority under the Act designate the following Director, CIDCO and Competent Authority under the Act designate the following Officers as “Asst. Public Information Officer” (APIO), “Public Information Officers” (PIO) and Appellate Authorities for various departments in the Corporation.

Note: (a) Consequent upon any change of the incumbent relevant to any designation of change in designation of the Head of the Section/Department relevant to area of functioning mentioned here in above, the name of the new incoming officer/HOD/HOS shall automatically be substituted in place of the officers named in above Table. (b) The duly stamped Applications/Appeals received in the format prescribed under the Right to Information Act, 2005 alone shall be dealt with under the provision of this Act, Whereas the information/details sought for by any applicant otherwise than in the manner prescribed in the Act or Rules framed thereunder should therefore be dealt with, in routine manner as was being done in past (i.e. before coming into existence of this Act) without linking of its disposal under this Act. (c) I further order that Shri. S. B. Deshmukh, A. & P. O. shall co-ordinate the work of all the Public Information Officers. (d) I further order that Shri. P. C. Joshi, Law Officer shall co-ordinate the work relating to the Appeals preferred and shall assist the Competent/Appellate Authority (ies) in disposal thereof under this Act. (e) All Public Information Officers/Appellate Authorities shall strictly follow the guidelines on the subject (including submission of various returns to the concerned authorities) as may be issued/prescribed by the Govt. from time to time.
