Architects Section (N), Architect Section (S) are working under Planning Deptt. On the head of Chief Architect & Planner and Addl. Chief Architect. Architecture Section have unique feature for developing of Navi Mumbai. Since it is being Satellite city to stop saturation of Old Mumbai, the Planning of navi Mumbai has come in existence and to provide economical accommodation. Architecture (S) Section is looking after from Belapur Nodes to Uran Nodes towards North and Panvel towards (East) and Architecture (N) Section is looking after from Airoli to Vashi Nodes and new Towns such as Aurangabad, Nashik, Oras, Nanded and some projects in development of Railways Stations.
The Architecture Sections is concerned with Designing of housing like Lower middle and Higher income Group Housing projects in above said nodes. The social facility buildings like Nodal Hospitals and dispensaries, School Buildings, Community centers, Auditorium, Hostels, Model Police Stations, Police H.Qs, Nodal offices, Cemetaries for Hindus, Christian and Muslim Communities. Designing of various types of building, the Architect has to go in various activities likely site visits, preparation of the Project Report and sketch plan for discussion and taking approval of head of departments and Section. After approval of various working drawings the Architect has to prepare specification for the use of material for construction of building this is discussed in consent with head of the Section. Then the working drawings send to structural designing to structural engineer.
When the Actual construction starts Architect has to visit the construction site for verification till the completion of the building. This is the working of Architecture Section.
