CIDCO Ltd. of Maharashtra is a public undertaking building cities for the last 35 years and its most prestigious ongoing project is development of Navi Mumbai City. Since from the beginning, CIDCO has developed land and provided physical infrastructures such as roads, bridges, drainage, water supply & Sewerage Systems, Street Lights, Horticultural works etc. and constructed houses supported with social infrastructures like Community Centers, Markets, Parks, Educational Institutes, Playground etc.

As a quality control measure, CIDCO had established its own Material Testing Laboratory in year 1974-75 for conducting various tests in Civil Engineering works and since then has contributed lot in the development of Navi Mumbai as well as New Towns. In 2001, the Laboratory has been shifted from Turbhe Store and has started functioning in new place at Sanpada Railway Station Premises.

About Laboratory :

The laboratory is located on local train network and having access from Sion Panvel Expressway and Palm beach marg.The laboratory is well equipped & maintained and having experienced technical staff. All the testing apparatus/equipments/machineries are regularly calibrated & maintained with periodic servicing. The various tests that are required for CIDCO works are being performed in this laboratory and in addition to this, outside testing works are also being taken from Government/Semi Govt.offices and private agencies/institutions.
