25 MLD Capacity Sewage Treatment Plant in Sector 16 at Kharghar based on SBR Technology. |

The Sewage Treatment Plant of 25 MLD capacity is proposed to be constructed in Sector 16 at Kharghar. This plant is based on Cyclic Activated Sludge process /C-Tech Technology. The advantage is that all the process is carried out in the single basin minimizing the required space. The STP is backed with PLC and SCADA enabling power consumption as required by the plant load. This results in saving in power, manpower and space as compared to the conventional STP technology. The STP would supply treated water of 5PPM/10PPM B001 IS standard which would be good enough for Horticulture. The dried sludge can be used as manure.

Central Park, Kharghar |

Out of 120 Ha spread over sectors 23, 24, and 25, an area of 80-Ha is earmarked for Central Park. Various activities proposed in the Central Park are as under:
Theme Parks ,Sports Clubs, Morning walk-trails, Amphitheaters Botanical garden ,Joggers tracks, Conservatory, Large Playgrounds ,Amusement Park , Water Park , Nursery
Active & Passive recreation areas
All ancillary facilities – parking, state food courts/ plazas, toilets
Development of central park has started from the northwest corner that was inaugurated area. Inauguration area is almost completed. The miniature model of central park is installed at inauguration area which gives an idea of various activities proposed in the central park. Shortly, the development of nursery will begin and the look of Central Park shall start taking shape. Development of ponds to enrich the water content of the soil and become a perennial source will also be undertaken.

Navi Mumbai Urban Haat

The site selected for the project is unique as far as the development potential and locational attributes are concerned. An area with rich vegetation spreading over 6 Ha will be meaningfully developed with the structures merging into the nature. Navi Mumbai Urban Haat will act as a
stage for artists from various states to show their skill and also act as platform to sell their products. The visitors will be able to enjoy the courtesy of various states from the stalls allotted to respective state governments.

| Ruins at Kille Gaothan |
|
Kille Fort, is the only historical reference in Navi Mumbai. In order to make the said spot as a tourism destination, a meaningful development with conservation of the existing ruins is proposed. Along with the historical importance of the said fort, interesting information on how it was used even recently to shoot movies like ‘Pukar’ and other Marathi movies will also be displayed.

| Science Park, Belapur |

The Science Park is proposed as hands on minds on Project wherein thevisitors can actually handle various machinery and scientific euipment on display to familiarize them with technology. It is proposed in Sect. 7 of C.B.D Belapur. In order to boost public participation in the development process, an essay competition on Science Park was called. Various ideas floated by the public, are being enlisted and the practical ones will be separated for implementation.
