Allotment of Plots for Religious & Spiritual Purposes

The Corporation, as a policy, has approved following eligibility criteria for leasing of plots for construction of places of worship and the Trust registered under BPT Act, 1950 in Maharashtra is required to submit the documents as enumerated below -

Religious purpose
(i) Registration under BPT Act in Maharashtra
(ii) The Trust when apply should have completed a period of 4 years from the date of registration.
(iii) 3 years’ audited statement of accounts shall be evaluated.
(iv) The Trust should be financially sound to take up a plot and
Construct the building in stipulated time limit along with the facilities.
(v) Family membership of 200 families in the node.

Spiritual purpose
i) Registration under BPT Act, 1950 and Societies Regn. Act, 1860 in Maharashtra
ii) The Trust when apply should have completed a period of 10 years from the date of registration.
iii) 3 years’ audited statement of accounts shall be evaluated
iv) The Trust should be financially sound to take up a plot and construct the building in stipulated time limit along with the facilities.
v) The Trust should have already established and run atleast one its own centre in Maharashtra for more than 10 years with good track record and would like to extend its facilities to Navi Mumbai.
vi) Appointment of 50% Trustees on the Management Committee from the residents of Navi Mumbai (certified by Charity Commissioner).

Following documents are to be submitted while applying for a plot
i)Copy of Registration certificate under Bombay Public Trusts Act,1950 duly attested by Notary. 
ii) Certificate in the prescribed format from the Charity Commissioner in whose jurisdiction the institution is situated (Format - 2)
iii) Copy of Constitution and bye-laws/Trust Deed whichever is applicable (up date copy with amendments, if any, certified by Charity Commissioner)
iv) Copies of Audited Statement of Accounts for the past 3 years
v) Certificate in the prescribed format from Chartered Accountant that the accounts of the institution are maintained properly.(Format 3) 
vi) Latest Bank balance certificate confirming availability of funds towards land cost and part of construction cost. 
vii)  Bio-data of Trustees in the prescribed format (Format 4) 
viii) List of member families residing in the Node for which the application is made with clear addresses & contact number. 
ix) Annual Activity Reports for the past 3 years 
x) List of other centers /facilities available in Bombay Metropolitan Region /Maharashtra with all details such as; approx. built-up area, number of beneficiaries/members, etc. 
xi) Appointment of 50% Trustees on the Management Committee from the residents of Navi Mumbai (certified by Charity Commissioner), in case the Trust is formed by members from outside Navi Mumbai. 
xii) Project Report containing information such as; activities proposed, built-up area requirement for each activity and financial resources available and proposed to be raised for completion of project, etc.

The requests are processed considering availability of plots and plots already allotted for similar purposes.
