Scope and Functions
|
|
1. To provide social infrastructure such as; Educational, Social, Religious, Cultural, Sports and Recreational in Navi Mumbai.
|
|
2. Formulation of policies and programmes to ensure that public utility facilities such as; Police Stations, Post Offices, Crematoriums, burial grounds are provided in the city.
|
|
3. Liaison with Govt. Offices such as; Police Deptt., Postal Deptt., NMMC, Municipal Councils to establish Post Offices, Police Stations, Police Chowkies, Crematoriums and burial grounds.
|
|
4. Planning and provision of Social infrastructure ranging from Primary Schools to Degree and Professional Colleges, Health care, Community Centres, Creches, Milk Booths, PCO booths etc.
|
|
5. Formulation of policies and programmes pertaining to various community and social facilities including education, social welfare, creation, religious, open spaces, playgrounds, special groups such as handicapped and women.

6. Scrutiny and processing of applications as per the policies adopted the by Corporation from time to time.
