Functions and activities

Collection, analysis, and presentation of numerical data in variety of subject areas.

To provide benchmark progress of the city and valuable direction for future planning, mainly – in fixing the planning norms for physical and social infrastructure and public utilities. To present development trends, economy, sustainable growth of the city, land utilization and market need.

To provide the Statistical information and basic data required at Planning Stage from secondary and primary sources.

To provide the statistical information about CIDCO and Navi Mumbai to various departments, other organizations, academicians, research student, and clients who wants to set up their unit in Navi Mumbai.

The main job of the Section is to design surveys and studies:-

Background preparation such as collection of secondary information e. g. no. of units from secondary sources

Topics of surveys and studies:
Socio economic survey of households, Housing, Employment survey: commercial units, Offices(government/public/private), Industries, Health infrastructure, Educational units, Social, Religious and regional organization Survey of villagers (Project Affected Person-PAPs), Vocational training for youth and women in NMSEZ (Navi Mumbai Special Economic Zone). Impact of 12.5% Scheme on Project Affected Persons (PAPs).
