The New Nashik project is situated in the vicinity of the famous historical and cultural city of Nashik on the banks of river Godavari, on the north side of the Mumbai-Agra Road. Adjoining this area are two industrial centres, Ambad and Satpur developed by the MIDC. With an area admeasuring 398.35 hectares, the land is mostly from the old Morwadi and Untwadi villages.
CIDCO has so far developed over 24,500 houses within six housing schemes. These houses comprise EWS, LIG and HIG types of tenements.

The CIDCO township is fully developed with roads, water supply, sewerage system, sewage treatment plant, electrification, gardens, open spaces and all other civic amenities. In addition, CIDCO has constructed primary and secondary schools, college, community centres, central facility buildings and health centres. One big piece of land is reserved for construction of a stadium complex, which is being constructed by the Nashik Municipal Corporation.
