Mankhurd-Belapur Railway Line

Mankhurd - Belapur Railway project is the first joint venture Project of the State Govt. with the Ministry of Railways. This project was taken up under the tripartite agreement executed between State Govt., CIDCO & Central Railways. First time in India, right to exploit air space above the stations has been given to CIDCO to raise revenue for railway projects. Station cum Commercial Complexes have been planned & constructed as State-of-art stations integrated with all facilities. Cost of Railway Line with Railway area in the stations is shared by CIDCO and Railways in the proportion of 67% and 33% respectively. Cost of commercial complexes in Navi Mumbai is entirely borne by CIDCO.
