The Central Govt. with an intent to effectively secure and enforce the right to information in the country and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto, has enacted, “the Right to Information Act, 2005”, which has come into effect from 12th October, 2005. In the interest of effective implementation of the provisions of the said Act, the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, CIDCO and Competent Authority under the Act had designated APIOs, PIOs and 1st Appellate Authorities vide order dated 06.12.2005. Due to transfers, retirement etc. of such designated officer, it is necessary to issue this revised order. This order shall come into effect from the date of issue.

Note: a) Consequent upon any change of the incumbent, relevant to any designation or change in designation of the Head of the Section / Department, relevant to area of functioning mentioned herein above, the name of the new incoming officer / HOD/HOS/ shall automatically be substituted in place of the officers named in above table. (b) Duly stamped applications / Appeals received in the format prescribed under the Right to Information Act 2005 shall be dealt with, under the provisions of this Act. Whereas the information / details sought for by any applicant otherwise than in the manner prescribed in the Act or Rules framed there-under should therefore be dealt with, in routine manner as was being done in the past (i.e. before coming into existence of this Act) without linking of its disposal under this Act. Joshi, Law Officer shall provide necessary guidance as and when required by the PIOs, the First Appellate Authorities, and also assist the JMD & VC&MD in disposal of the appeals thereof, under this Act. (e) All HODs / HOSs should ensure that all the relevant pro-active information, required under Section 4 (1) of the RTI Act 2005, pertaining to their respective Departments/Sections, is provided and further updated periodically on our website. (f) All Public Information Officers / 1st Appellate Authorities shall strictly follow the guidelines on the subject (including submission of various returns to the concerned authorities) as may be issued / prescribed by the Govt. from time to time.
